UltraSnap
UltraSnap™ is a user-friendly, all-in-one ATP sampling test used with Hygiena luminometers. The pen-sized sample collection ATP Swabs are easy to use, small, and environmentally friendly.
In addition, it uses a unique liquid-stable reagent providing superior accuracy, longer-lasting signal strength, and more reproducible results.
What is ATP testing?
Adenosine Triphosphate, or ATP, is the energy molecule found in all living things, making ATP swabs the perfect indicator when trying to determine if a surface is clean or not.
Companies use ATP swabs to rapidly verify surfaces have been cleaned thoroughly in food manufacturing and healthcare applications and to ensure that biofilms are not developing on the surface, which could affect quality.
Surface ATP test
With an ATP hygiene monitoring system ( sometimes referred to as - an ATP sanitation monitoring system), ATP is brought into contact with Hygiena's unique liquid-stable reagent in the test device.
Light is then emitted in direct proportion to the amount of ATP present in the sample, providing information on the level of contamination in seconds.
Liquid-stable chemistry
UltraSnap contains liquid-stable chemistry in the patented Snap-Valve™ bulb. This unique chemistry and design eliminate the need to reconstitute lyophilized pellets, enabling consistent and accurate results.
Key features of UltraSnap Surface ATP Swabs
- Quick sample collection: The user-friendly design allows samples to be collected in three easy steps.
- Patented snap-valve design: This innovative technology ensures that organic matter remains on ATP swabs during activation.
- Superior accuracy: The Hygiena UltraSnap test is compatible withEnSURE Touch and SystemSURE Plus to provide superior sensitivity and accuracy when compared to other ATP systems on the market.
- Eco-friendly: All parts of the Hygiena ATP swabs test kit are 100% recyclable.
User guide
Completing a surface ATP swabs test is a quick and easy three-step process that involves collection, activation, and mixing.
Step 1: Collection
Remove the swab from the tube and swab it on a 10cm x 10cm surface area in a criss-cross pattern. Make sure that you swap the surface evenly and apply sufficient pressure to get an accurate and reliable sample.
Step 2: Activation
Insert the swap back into the test tube. Turn on the luminometer and select the location to be tested (if you’ve selected this option).
Hold the test tube securely in your hand and use your thumb and forefinger to break the SnapValve by bending it. Next, squeeze the bulb twice to move the liquid into the tube, then shake for 5 seconds.
Step 3: Measurement
Insert the swab into the rear chamber of the luminometer and close the lid. Hold the device upright and press ‘okay’ to start the test. Results will be displayed in 15 seconds. You can discard your UltraSnap device in the recycling bin.
